Children’s Park at Morgan Sports Center

This children’s playground park is located on the east side parking lot of the Morgan Sports Center. The park has playground equipment for all youth ages.   The park also has picnic tables which are available for rent for birthday parties and family gatherings.

Clement Taylor Park

Clement Taylor Park is a 3.55 acre park which offers amenities that include a waterfront gazebo, pier, pavilion, beach swim area, playground, and picnic area. The pavilion is available for rental to private organizations and individuals by calling the Community Center at (850) 654-5184

Destin Dog Park

The Destin Dog Park is approximately 3 acres and includes a separate area for large dogs and small dogs.  Both areas have lush Bermuda grass, open space and shaded areas with pines and oaks.  The facility has watering stations for dogs and their two legged companions as well as benches and waste receptacles

Fort Walton Beach Landing

The Fort Walton Landing has been a hub of activity in Fort Walton Beach for decades. It is a 6-acre park containing a children’s park, walking path, soccer fields, boat ramp, fishing pier, boardwalk, gazebo, picnic tables, stage and lots of open space.  Many Festivals are held in the park throughout the year, the capstone of them all being the annual Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival.  On the 4th of July, fireworks are shot off from a barge anchored in the Santa Rosa Sound just off the Park.

Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park

This enchanting 357-acre park on Rocky Bayou in Choctawhatchee Bay offers camping, hiking trails, and one of the best boat ramps on Choctawhatchee Bay with year round saltwater and freshwater fishing. Three nature trails are ideal for birding and nature photography. Bird walks are available through the Choctawhatchee Audubon Society. The park includes two picnic pavilions, playground, grills and convenient stairways to the shores.

Harborview Park

Harborview Park is a low impact facility which includes a waterfront deck area with benches and picnic tables, bike rack and limited handicap parking only.

Henderson Beach State Park

A 200-acre gem on the Emerald Coast, Henderson Park is home to a winding nature trail that provides a rare view of some of the last remaining endangered coastal scrub communities in the Florida panhandle. The park is home to four endangered or protected plant species and is a haven for shore birds, including six listed and protected species. Enjoy a leisurely bike ride on the park’s mile-long paved road. Try your luck fishing in the surf. Pitch a tent or hook up your RV at one of 60 campsites.

John Beasley Park

John Beasley Park is a large beach park on Okaloosa Island with 2 dune walkovers to the Gulf of Mexico. This park has 2 large pavilions, 12 picnic tables, an octagonal platform, restrooms with changing rooms and 208 parking spaces. 1 pavilion may be reserved by contacting Okaloosa County’s Public Works Department. To have an event on the beach, any gathering of more than 50 people requires a Special Event Permit.

Liza Jackson Park

Liza Jackson Park is located on the Santa Rosa Sound and includes 1,000 feet of water front views and access as well as a boat ramp, a fishing pier, pavilions, restrooms, playground equipment and a dog-friendly area.  Natural scenic views may be enjoyed throughout the park and descriptive signage of animal and plant life is provided for park visitors

Mattie Kelly Park and Nature Walk

Mattie Kelly Park and Nature Walk is a 10.13 acre bayou access park.  Amenities include a pier, beach area and picnic area.  As the majority of the land is considered wetlands and cannot be developed, the park will remain a natural area with specific elements

Newman C. Brackin Wayside Park

Oak Tree Nature Park

A one-mile trail rambles through this 25-acre natural area. Signs along the trail provide information on the park’s plants and animals as well as the Native Americans who once inhabited the area and the cultural remains they left behind. A number of animal species make their home in the park, including otter, beaver, alligator, raccoon, opossum, fox and bobcat. More than 103 bird species have been identified. A pavilion and picnic area is located at the northern edge of the park

Ross Marler Park

1275 Santa Rosa Boulevard Ft. Walton Beach , FL 32548

Refurbished in 2006, Ross Marler Park provides boating, swimming and fishing access to the Choctawhatchee Bay. There are 20 boat trailer parking spaces, 80 auto parking spaces and a tram stop. Amenities include an ADA accessible fishing platform, two boat ramps, two sets of bathrooms, several pavilions, a roped off swimming area, and a walking trail with interpretive signage. The Marler Mini-Explorer Tot Lot playground offers a completely fenced, rubber surfaced children’s playground and walking perimeter, all of which is completely ADA accessible.

The Shores at Crystal Beach Park

The Shores at Crystal Beach Park is located on the Gulf of Mexico.  The park features a pavilion, restrooms, showers, picnic tables and limited parking.  Enjoy a day in the shade of the pavilion or walk down to the sugar white sand beach and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Turkey Creek Park

Turkey Creek Nature Trail and Pavilion is a great place for gatherings under the pavilion, swim areas to bring the family to, and quiet spots to enjoy the beauty surrounding you. The three-quarter mile boardwalk runs along Turkey Creek through a river forest of titi, maple, cypress and bay. Watch for green herons stalking minnows on low hanging branches over the water and swimming in the creek. Mississippi kites are common in summer and songbirds like white-eyed vireos breed here. In warm weather, canoeing, kayaking, tubing for all ages and the boardwalk has many places to stop along and enjoy the wildlife, turtles, ducks, and migrating birds. An Eagle Scout project provided identification markers to identify the vegetation. There is truly something for everyone.
