Emerald Coast is going to be immersed with family oriented Halloween events this year. While you’re here visiting the gorgeous beaches of the Emerald Coast, you can also bring the entire family and celebrate Halloween in this cool and relaxing weather.
For all our guests staying with us, we have created a short list of the Halloween events that will sure please you and your family. For all of our future guests, hurry and make your reservations with us because you don’t want to miss these exciting festivities. 1. Pumpkinpalooza and Halloween on the Harbor
Halloween along the Emerald Coast is just cool enough to put you in a spook-tacular mood but warm enough to not have to ruin the line of that fabulous costume with layers. Whether you are a local or are staying in a Destin, Florida vacation condo this October, we suggest you head on over to HarborWalk Village next to the Destin bridge for this exciting event. On October 24, 2015 celebrate the season by attending the Monster Mash Pub Crawl. Grab your costume, head down to the harbor and partake in the exciting nightlife. The pub crawl starts at 7:00 PM, and each armband purchased supports a local charity and gives you drink specials along the Destin Harbor with the Destin Nights! The second event is the adult costume contest, which will take place Friday, October 30, 2015 at 9:00 PM. Put together your most creative Halloween costume for the Grown-Up Ghouls Costume Contest, and enjoy live entertainment during this exciting Halloween bash. On Saturday, October 31, 2015, head down to the Destin Harbor for the Family Fun Fest portion of Pumpkinpalooza at HarborWalk Village. The event kicks off at 2:00 PM and includes kids and pets costume contests, trick-or-treat at local shops, pumpkin decorating, face painting and free arts and crafts. End your exciting afternoon with a fireworks show over the harbor and a fire-spinning show by Just Add Fire’s Autumn Ussery.
2. SOLARIS Halloween Party Cruise
That’s how we celebrate along the Emerald Coast! Costumes, cocktails and Cadillac Willy will ‘rock the yacht’ on the SOLARIS Halloween Party Cruise in Destin Florida. After the kids enter a candy coma, it’s time for the adults to brew up some mischief on the SOLARIS “Rock the Yacht” Halloween Party Cruise in Destin on Friday, October 31st from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Guests should come dressed in their best costume for a contest and bring their dancing shoes for live music by Cadillac Willy. The party begins at 9 p.m. as guests dressed in their Halloween best board the SOLARIS by the light of the eerie moon. Voted “Best Band” by the readers of Destin Magazine, Cadillac Willy will conjure up a ‘spooktacular’ set of live music that will rock all three levels of the yacht as the SOLARIS cruises the local waters. Costumes and cocktails will bring frightful fun throughout the night. Local celebrity judges will be on the hunt for the best costumes aboard the SOLARIS. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume in each of these categories: sexiest, scariest, most original and best all around. Boarding for the Halloween Party Cruise in Destin begins at 9 p.m. with the cruise from 10 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.
3. Halloween Haunt
While you are shopping at the extravagant Destin Commons, you can stay for the Halloween Haunt. The event will be held on October 25 from 4:00-7:00 PM. It will be a night full of creepy costumes and trick-or-treating. Come dressed to impressed for the costume contest. Bring the entire family and even the dog. Everyone is welcome at this event. 4. Halloween on the BOOlevard of Fun
Children are also invited to join the Trick or Treat at the “Halloween on the BOOlevard of Fun” which happens simultaneously from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on October 31, 2015 in the Town Center of the Grand Boulevard. Merchants will provide treats from 4-7 PM. Kids will also enjoy the live storytelling performed by the Emerald Coast Theatre Company at 5:30 PM in the Grand Park. While they are there, families can also visit the unique and whimsical display of Cottage for Kids, which benefits the Children’s Volunteer Health Network. This event is open for all ages and is free for the public.
5.Trick or Treat in Seaside
Seaside will kick off the weekend with ghosts, goblins, fairies and princesses go door-to-door collecting candy from the merchants of Seaside from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on October 31, 2015. Afterwards, hop on the haunted hayride for scary stories told by the Seaside Rep.
6. Trick or Treat Street
Calling all ghouls and goblins to the Village Of Baytowne Wharf® ! Trick or treat through the Village and visit merchants for your favorite Halloween treats from 6-8pm. Get ready for some frightening good tunes on the Events Plaza Stage starting at 6pm. Fly board extraordinaire Ben Merrell will perform a special Halloween show in the lagoon, and to end the evening enjoy spooky fireworks as they light up the sky at 8pm!
7. Noche de los Muertos Costume Party at Alys Beach
Halloween isn’t for kids only on 30A. Adults can enjoy the famous Noche de los Muertos Costume Party at Alys Beach, which is the biggest halloween Party of the season. Residents of homes along 30A carefully plan and prepare their costumes months in advance, making this yearly adults-only “Night of the Dead” a spooktacular event full of fabulous and creepy costumes, world-class DJs, and pure fun. The surreal architectural landscape which is the Caliza Pool serves as the perfect backdrop for this event. Don’t miss the hottest party of the year happening on October 31 at the Caliza in Alys Beach.
